Sometimes the best ideas for my next creation don't come from my sewing room—they come from YOU!
Recently, I posted on Facebook asking what everyone would like to see me bring to the two craft festivals I'll be participating in this November. I received a wonderful suggestion: a foldable, reusable shopping tote!
Well, that got my creative wheels turning!
I loved the idea of making a lightweight tote that could fold up small enough to tuck into your everyday purse. Then, when you're out shopping and need an extra bag, simply unfold it and you're ready to go. No need to take another paper bag from the store!
A Little Trial and Error…
Of course, coming up with the idea was the easy part!
It took several attempts, a few pattern adjustments, and some experimenting before I finally came up with a design that I think works. But that's part of what I love about creating—figuring out how to turn an idea into something practical and useful.

I'm putting the finishing touches on this new creation and hope to have several ready for my November craft festivals.
