From My LA Itinerary to My Fabric Stash: My Mood Fabrics Adventure

If you know me, you know that putting me anywhere near a fabric store can be dangerous—in the best possible way!

Before my recent trip to Los Angeles, my niece knew there was one stop that absolutely had to make it onto our itinerary: Mood Fabrics. She actually scheduled a day and time for us to go because she knows just how much I love wandering through rows and rows of fabric, imagining what each one could become.

Needless to say, I was excited before I even arrived.

## Finally Making It to Mood

Walking into Mood was exactly the kind of experience I had hoped for. So many fabrics. So many colors, textures, patterns, and possibilities!

For someone who loves creating unique handmade bags and accessories, a fabric store isn't simply a place to shop. It's a place to get inspired. I can look at a piece of fabric and immediately start imagining it as a tote, crossbody bag, pouch, or something completely different.

And yes...I made some purchases!

But my Los Angeles fabric adventure didn't end at Mood.

## And Then I Found Even MORE Fabric!

While exploring the area, I discovered something I wasn't expecting—a whole street filled with fabric shops!

Of course, I couldn't just walk by.

So, what started as my much-anticipated visit to Mood turned into an even bigger fabric-shopping adventure. I wandered through more shops, discovered more interesting fabrics and, naturally, came home with even more purchases.

Let's just say my fabric stash has officially grown!

## Now Comes the Fun Part

One of my favorite things about buying new fabric is bringing it home and deciding what it wants to become.

Sometimes I purchase fabric with a specific project already in mind. Other times, I simply fall in love with the color or pattern and wait for inspiration to strike. That's part of what makes creating so much fun for me.

Now that I'm home, I have plenty of new fabric waiting for its turn at my sewing machine—and I can't wait to see what comes from it.

After all, life is too short to carry a boring bag.
